THE PEARLS OF PROMISE FOUNDATION IS A PHILANTHROPIC ORGANIZATION THAT WORKS WITH ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA SORORITY, INCORPORATED, LAMBDA PI OMEGA CHAPTER. ITS PRIMARY OBJECTIVE IS TO PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE METROPOLITAN DETROIT COMMUNITY.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Welcome to the dedicated website of the Pearls of Promise Foundation, Incorporation. Our philanthropic organization, affectionately known as POP, partners with Detroit's local Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Lambda Pi Omega Chapter.
Established in 2002, POP has worked for over 20 years to promote educational improvements throughout the Detroit metropolitan community. As the foundation looks ahead to build on the success of the first 20 years. We aim to achieve educational improvements by expanding youth outreach activities to help boys and girls through grades 6 to 8 and high school students through our signature Minor Hall and Ivylette programs. To further promote education for our youth, year after year, POP has annually awarded scholarships to high school seniors and community members whose applications align with the POP mission. Our award categories are 1st Generation, Historical Black College University (HBCU), Community, and the Elnita Nickleberry-Hendon Awards. Each year, the Scholarship, Minor Hall, and Ivylette programs commence with an annual reception gathering their families, friends, and the POP program committees and its leadership to recognize the accomplishments of our youth and recipients.
Together, we are exceedingly proud of the support behind the Pearls of Promise Foundation for the hundreds of hours of service during the 2023-2024 program year. Your commitment will have an impact for years to come. You helped create a new generation of servant leaders who can speak about how someone took the time to reach back, lift them up, and hand them the torch to carry.
