All About the Foundation
THE PEARLS OF PROMISE FOUNDATION IS A PHILANTHROPIC ORGANIZATION THAT WORKS WITH ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA SORORITY, INCORPORATED, LAMBDA PI OMEGA CHAPTER. ITS PRIMARY OBJECTIVE IS TO PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE METROPOLITAN DETROIT COMMUNITY.
The Pearls of Promise Foundation was established by eight women of the Metropolitan Detroit Community as a charitable organization whose primary purpose was to focus on the welfare of the youth. The signature programs, Miner Hall and the Ivylettes, both focus on education, health, global poverty and economic security. Students participate in various activities including but not limited to financial workshops, community service events as hosts and participants, physical well-being sessions, mentoring, college preparation activities and scholarship opportunities. The Foundation also has an annual scholarship program which is based on grade point average, need and academic potential. The Pearls of Promise foundation is supported purely by donations and fundraising.

The Pearls of Promise Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 organization, established by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated Lambda Pi Omega Chapter. The Foundation is celebrating 22 years of continued service to the metropolitan Detroit area. Programs are designed, managed and executed by Foundation members who provide hundreds of hours of community service annually. The Foundation has three signatures programs to support youth.
Minor Hall- Provides mentoring and guidance to resource challenged youth in grade levels 6 through 8.
Ivylettes- Provide mentorship and coaching to high school girls and create avenues for them to serve the community.
Scholarship - Provides college funding opportunities to youth in the Metropolitan Detroit area.
Scholarships are awarded annually to high school seniors that have been accepted to accredited vocational programs or four-year universities.
It is our goal to provide mentorship and extend educational and experiential opportunities to the youth of metropolitan Detroit. We humbly thank the metropolitan Detroit community for allowing us to serve.
